Overview

Installing the SteelPLUS Bundle on a network consists of three primary steps:

  1. Install SteelPLUS on the network server.
  2. Share the SteelPLUS program folder with authorized users.
  3. Configure each AutoCAD workstation to load the SteelPLUS partial CUIX files and support paths from the server.

Once configured, all workstations will use the same SteelPLUS installation stored on the server, simplifying software maintenance and updates.

Important

If you encounter an error during installation or configuration, contact SoftDraft Technical Support before uninstalling the software. Many issues are related to AutoCAD configuration or support paths and can usually be resolved without reinstalling SteelPLUS.

Network Installation

A network installation places the SteelPLUS program files in a shared location on a file server.

Each workstation loads the SteelPLUS menus, support files, and program components directly from the shared network folder while using its own licensed copy of the software.

This approach provides several advantages:

  • One central software installation
  • Easier software updates
  • Consistent configuration across all users
  • Simplified IT administration
