Supported CAD Platforms
The SteelPLUS Bundle supports the following 64-bit Autodesk products:
- AutoCAD 2012 through Current Version
- AutoCAD Desktop 2012 through Current Version
- AutoCAD LT 2024 through Current Version (SteelPLUS LT Versions)
Refer to the product documentation or Autodesk App Store listing for the specific AutoCAD versions supported by your SteelPLUS release.
Hardware Requirements
SteelPLUS uses the same hardware requirements as the installed version of AutoCAD. For best performance, your computer should meet or exceed Autodesk’s recommended system requirements.
Network Requirements
For network installations:
- Windows file server or NAS accessible by all workstations
- Reliable LAN connection
- Shared SteelPLUS installation folder with appropriate user permissions
- Users require Read and Execute access to the shared SteelPLUS folder
User Permissions
Server Installation
Installing SteelPLUS on the server requires:
- Administrator privileges
- Permission to create shared folders
- Permission to modify the shared installation directory
Workstations
Each workstation should have:
- AutoCAD installed and functioning correctly
- Permission to access the shared SteelPLUS folder
- Permission to modify AutoCAD user settings (support paths, menus, and profiles)
Administrator rights are generally not required after the initial workstation configuration.
Disk Space
Allow sufficient disk space for:
- SteelPLUS program files
- AutoCAD support files
- Future software updates
Internet Connection
An Internet connection may be required for:
- Downloading installation files
- Software activation
- License verification
- Software updates
- Accessing online documentation and training videos
